Ferro

In a faraway galaxy, on one of the outer planets, Ferro was taking a stroll through his jungle territory. As he tended to his prized flora along the trail, he was collecting his brightest and most extravagant blooms to bring to the gathering spot, where other intelligent lifeforms from distant territories would meet up, exchange stories, and possibly pair up if they got along well enough. It was common to live a life of solitude on this bountiful planet, but Ferro felt it was time to enrich his days with a companion or two.

Once Ferro had collected a lovely bouquet and basket of other treats, all that was left to do was get cleaned up before sunset. But his usual bathing spot had changed. When he waded into the shallow pool, he fell straight through — and kept falling, until he was tumbling down a rocky cliff side. Somehow, the water had changed into an undetectable portal that had transported him to someplace entirely new.

Now he has lost count of the years that he has searched this arid desert for a portal that may send him back home. He mostly prefers to stay hidden, but if he discovers a stranger that seems friendly he may attempt to communicate or trade with them. Although Ferro has never given up on the hope to return to his own planet, maybe he could finally be content to settle here if he found love after all.
