Cyrus - Emblazoned

After many moons with his curse, Cyrus has learned his inner-wolf’s cycle and quirks. The fires of the past have calmed, and he’s found a new town to start fresh. Amongst his neighbors, he stays hidden with his secret buried deep down, until the date circled on his calendar. When the full moon draws near, he knows to seek out the comfort of that old barn and ride it out. It has remained safe and undisturbed after all this time.

His heightened senses can still detect lingering hints of ash among the heavy smells of earth and rust. His breathing is abnormally ragged as he slips into the barn, despite the few miles of running that usually only felt like a mere warm up to what he could do in this form. Something was different tonight. He lowered to the ground to try and calm himself over his rapidly beating heart and the throbbing of blood pumping in his ears. His fur stood on edge and his razor sharp claws pierced the wooden floor beneath him. An intense wave of energy coursed through him, and it was all he could do to try and remain anchored in place. With bared fangs roughly resembling a grin, Cyrus eagerly waits for the one who kept his secret all this time. This time, the werewolf isn't looking to be calmed down.
